Henry J. Cittone's practice centers on maximizing clients' intellectual property assets both locally and globally through the development, protection, enforcement and licensing of intellectual property rights.

Henry represents clients in the protection of their intellectual property against infringers, including through cease-and-desist letters, injunctions and lawsuits. His experience also includes false advertising and unfair trade practices claims and trademark opposition proceedings.

Henry also advises on, drafts and negotiates licensing agreements for all types of intellectual property.

Through his independent firm, Henry also advises and represents domestic and international clients from a variety of industries on filing patent and trademark applications with the United States Patent & Trademark Office and international patent and trademark offices.

Through his independent firm, Henry also manages global trademark portfolios for a variety of clients, including those in the trade, retail and restaurant sectors.

Henry has represented a wide variety of domestic and international businesses, including large multi-national corporations, national scientific institutes, emerging technology start-ups, retailers and select individuals. He has handled matters in the software, 3-D television, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical imaging, alternative energy and fluid delivery industries.

Henry has played key roles in numerous patent and false advertising cases. Those cases have involved the areas of telecommunications technology, small molecule pharmaceuticals, network security, imaging technology, computer software and hardware, and gas storage and delivery systems.

Henry has advised clients on the defense of claims brought by so-called "patent trolls," and he has advised clients in the telecommunications and mobile applications arena on the monetization of their patent portfolios. His litigation experience, both defending and asserting patents, provides clients with unique insight when seeking their own intellectual property rights.

Prior to joining Reiss+Co., Henry was associated with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York, where he practiced in the Intellectual Property Group. Henry is also partner in Cittone Demers & Arneri LLP.
